Update of no particular importance

Today is the start of our week-long sales conference, which means that in two hours I'll be stuck in a hotel lobby at an "information table", doing such important things as picking little bugs out of my lukewarm coffee, staring at the ceiling in numb horror, poking pencils into my eyes in a vein attempt to open my pineal gland, and praying for the zombie apocalypse to happen RIGHT NOW. In prior years, the company used to hold it in Bermuda. The year they decided to let me be a part of it, they permanently moved it to the glamorous Jersey City Hyatt. FUCK! Oh well. ::reaches for pencil sharpener::

The good news is that I still have a terrible head cold, so I'll be all hopped up on meds. Maybe this year won't be so bad - I'll drool a bit more than usual, but I doubt anyone will notice.

I ate no turkey this year, and I didn't buy a thing on Black Friday. Basically I had four days in bed, eating cold take-out, constantly blowing my nose, and occasionally working on the novel. And sometime during my NyQuil high, I came up with a brilliant plan for rearranging the furniture in the living room so I'll have a real little office area, instead of just a desk in a corner. This is the stuff I think about when I'm sick. Also, I made travel plans - it looks like I'll be going home again in March, and I've decided to extend my stay a bit and go to NorWestCon. It'll give me a chance to actually attend a convention this year without financially ruining myself.

I've run out of things to write about, and my nose is dripping onto the keyboard, so it's time to drag my sorry ass to the hotel. ::sob:: Have a GREAT week, everyone!
