I'm almost finished with revisions to "The Four Hundred Thousand", after which I'll set it aside for a few days, while I start two new projects - both erotica stories for anthologies. (One's a general submit, the other is an invite-to-submit.) I should have them both finished by mid-October, which is when I intend to send "TFHT" out as well.
BTW, I've picked out a few pro markets to send "TFHT" to (Asimov's, Analog, PostScripts, maybe F&SF) - if any of you know of any other pro markets for science fiction stories/novelettes, including anthologies, let me know. My knowledge of the sf marketplace is still a bit weak.
The rest of October will be devoted to picking apart an old project of mine - the biomechanical spider steampunk "Girls of the World" novelette - and getting it ready to turn into a full-blown novella. I want to have it finished and ready to, er, well.... Hmm. There aren't a lot of markets for novellas, so I guess it'll just be inventory, until the right market pops up. But I want it finished by the end of December, so I can start my next project in January.
This is all very boring, isn't it? Sorry about that.
I now return you to the Candy Cane Lighthouse.
