Another review of Engines

…at Grim Reviews. Overall a positive review – and I have to say, I agree with him about (or rather, I should say I understand his reaction to) “At the Edge of Ellensburg” – I had some reservations about putting a hard-core erotic piece (that has only slightly-inferred supernatural elements) in the collection. In the end I finally did so because, well, it’s also hard-core horror, and I felt that it was somewhat complimentary in tone to “Horses”, which is also a pretty rough ride (no pun intended!), both in terms of violence and violent emotions. So, there it is, and I’m very happy with the review.

Currently I’m finishing up a story for a anthology – it’s due on the 15th, so after that I’ll get back to my depressed, semi-sporadic blogging about ants and soggy ceilings and the low, dark edge of life. Yay!
