Novella: Her Deepness

Subterranean has started posting my Lovecraftian/industrial dark fantasy “Her Deepness” – the first part is here. I realize many people may not want to read it until it’s up in its entirety, so I’ll post again when parts two and three are online.

Also: yes, I know many people will not want to read it because it’s 1) too long; 2) too depressing and dark; or 3) too long, depressing and dark. That’s fine, I don’t have a problem with that. Just, you know – consider this your warning that it’s long, depressing and dark.

Marine Autumn

I owe you marine autumn
With dankness at its roots
and fog like a grape
and the graceful sun of the country;
and the silent space
in which sorrows lose themselves
and only the bright crown
of joy comes to the surface.

--Pablo Neruda.
